Barge Trip from Strasbourg to Lagarde

June 10 to June 16, 2026

I am so excited to offer this trip again. It is truly one of my favorite itineraries. We will have a pre-trip to go wine tasting and visit some of the most beautiful villages of France. Watch out for the storks nest!

  • PRE TRIP JUNE 9 - STRASBOURG - COLMAR

    We will depart Strasbourg at 9am and start our drive on the “Alsacian Wine Road”. We will stop first at some beautiful Alsacian villages like Bergheim, Ribeauvillé & Hunawihr.  We will have one stop for a winery visit and tasting. Lunch will be on your own in Riquewihr. The afternoon we will stop at the Nécropole Sigolsheim then at the Kayserberg village. We will have one more visit and tasting before arriving in Colmar for the night.

  • PRE TRIP JUNE 10: COLMAR - STRASBOURG

    This morning we will head for a visit of winery and wine tasting before starting back north. We will then have free time in Eguisheim for a visit and lunch. In the afternoon, we will stop and visit another winery and then go visit the castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg. We will then head back to Strasbourg to board our barge.

  • JUNE 10: STRASBOURG

    Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight we'll enjoy dinner followed by a panoramic boat tour of Strasbourg.

  • Maison du Kochersberg

    JUNE 11 : STRASBOURG - WALTENHEIM

    We’ll spend the morning cruising. In the afternoon, join us for an excursion to the lush region of Kochersberg and a visit to the Maison du Kochersberg museum and the Villa Meteor.

  • Château du Haut-Barr

    JUNE 12 : WALTENHEIM - SAVERNE

    This morning will be spent cruising towards Saverne. Enjoy this bucolic journey passing the towns of Schwindratzheim, nestled on a hillside, and Hochfelden, a typical local village. During the morning, feel free to stroll or bike on the paved trails alongside the canal. In the afternoon, join us on a tour of the Château du Haut-Barr, nicknamed "The Eye of Alsace", where you will discover a splendid view over the Alsatian plains. In the evening, we’ll enjoy tarte flambée, a local specialty, at a restaurant.

  • Lutzelbourg Castle

    JUNE 13 : SAVERNE - LUTZELBOURG

    We'll set out on a guided tour of Saverne. Virtually unknown by the usual tourist routes, the city offers a wide range of places to discover. We'll return on board and cruise towards Lutzelbourg. The canal winds through the Vosges Mountains before joining the Lorraine region. Late in the afternoon, we suggest you to set off on foot to marvel at Lutzelbourg Castle.

  • Hautvillers

    JUNE 14: LUTZELBOURG - Arzviller Inclined Plane - XOUAXANGE

    Stopover at the Lehrer Crystal Glassworks. Cruise to Xouaxange. Travel on the Saint-Louis-Arzviller inclined plane. Candlelight lunch as you pass through the canal tunnels. Visit of the Chagall trail in Sarrebourg.

  • Chapel of the Cordeliers

    JUNE 15: XOUAXANGE - LAGARDE

    We'll spend the day cruising towards Lagarde. Tonight is our festive gala evening.

  • Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg

    JUNE 16: LAGARDE

    Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. Possible transfer(1) by coach back to Strasbourg, arriving late in the morning.

    This price does not include your flight ticket, personal expenses, gratuities and transfer to Strasbourg at the end of the trip if you need it (we can arrange it).

  • All the cabins are the same size. They are twin beds that can be put together to make a king size bed if you would like. Each cabin has its own bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. (hairdryer too). The plugs use 220 V so you need an adapter.

    The cabins are assigned.

  • The boat accepts 22 guests maximum.
